Hello dear reader!
Welcome to our April Edition of Random Acts of Kindness!
Thank you for following our blog. We share information here about getting out of debt, the benefits of bankruptcy, and tips on savvy financial management, saving more, and spending less. Certainly, these are critical topics for our financial futures, but we also like to share stories on random acts of kindness. Just some feel-good news to remind us of the good in the world!
When flying within the United States children under 2-years old fly for free. Recently at an airport in Omaha, Nebraska, a father checking in for his flight was asked the age of his daughter. When he told the agent that his daughter is two, she asked to see her ticket. But the father had not purchased his daughter a ticket. When he booked the flight she was under two-years-of-age, and he believed that she would be able to fly on his lap, without a ticket.
Clearly distraught, he stepped aside to figure out what to do. He mentioned that he was not able to afford a ticket, especially the cost of a last-minute ticket, for his daughter.
This is when a good Samaritan stepped forward to help this father and daughter duo reach their final destination.
A woman overheard the exchange between the father and the agent, and she stepped forward to help. Here’s the heartwarming exchange that followed:
“I wanna buy her ticket,” the woman said, pointing to the little girl.
“You know how much this ticket costs, right?” the surprised agent replied.
“$700 something?”
“$749.”
Without further fanfare, the woman handed her credit card to the agent.

Of course, most of us don’t have the resources to buy a stranger a plane ticket… but all of us have the opportunity to bring more kindness into the world.
“Kindness is a gift everyone can afford to give.”
It doesn’t take money or talent to be kind. Give random acts of kindness a try. We’d love to hear about the kindness you spread into the world! Feel free to post stories about your acts of kindness on our Facebook page!
